VRB Tunes (Lasso, Cami, Samantha Sanchez)

Orlando Vitto and Renzo Bravo are a Platinum-certified production duo based in Miami and widely known for their work in Latin pop. Since partnering up in early 2020, Vitto and Renzo (aka VRB Tunes) have been a prominent force in the Latin music industry, collaborating with established acts such as Latin Grammy nominee Lasso, multi-Platinum vocalist Cami, American-Dominican songwriter, Sharlene, and rising pop star Samantha Sanchez.

Tell us about your current studio setup.

We currently work on Pro Tools and Ableton (Vitto uses Pro Tools and Renzo uses Ableton) on a setup built on Warm Audio’s LA2A and W73 pre amp, Antelope’s Satori and NS10s, and KRK V8s for monitoring. We both use UAD Apollos as our interfaces.

How do you stay excited about making music every day?

We stay fresh by being thankful that our job is making music. We love what we do.

How do you approach the mixing of a song?

The mixing process usually starts with the drums and we build up from that, ending with the vocals. Usually, we have every group of instruments (Drums, Keys, Guitars, Vocals) routed to separate aux channels, which are routed to the mix buss. Generally, editing decisions are the best thing to do on your mix. One of our favorite things to do is muting tracks and sections to give songs more dynamics.
